
Speaking at an event for presenting state contributions to Keat Hwa and Sin Min Chinese schools, Azizan said the state government decided to erase education loans of those who failed to repay due to death, chronic disease, mental illness and other reasons which led them to be unable to repay.
“This means we are not asking repayment of debt from the students’ guarantors. This is a basic humanitarian act to those who are unable to pay,” said Azizan.
