Hasan apologised, case closed: Nik Aziz

Dec 28: PAS Murshidul Am Tuan Guru Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat said he had accepted an apology by former Selangor PAS commissioner Hasan Ali over his criticism of party policies aired on several UMNO-owned media.

The Kelantan Menteri Besar revealed that Hasan, together with former deputy president Nasharuddin Mat Isa had met him alongside president Tuan Guru Abdul Hadi Awang and deputy Murshidul Am Haron Din in Kota Bharu.
“I appreciate the humbleness of Dr Hasan who has apologised and retracted his negative statements against the party.

"It is not easy for someone who has done wrong to admit his mistakes and to apologise, so his action has touched my heart,” said Nik Aziz.

According to Nik Aziz, the meeting was organised by PAS central committee, adding that “even if it was not organised, I would have called him".

“The matter now cannot be used by UMNO anymore as it is now closed,” said Nik Aziz.

Both Hasan and Nasharuddin had earlier spoken to UMNO-owned media, criticising party policies and supporting calls for an alliance with UMNO in the name of 'Malay unity'. Hasan had also questioned PAS's concept of 'benevolent state' mooted by Hadi at the party's Mukatamar this year.
