Iran tiru, bina pesawat kawalan jauh AmerikaTehran yakin miliki senjata baru canggih tak lama lagi

Dr M: ‘Usahlah cari bomoh kerana ingin menang’

“Ahli-ahli politik pun tak usahlah cari bomoh kerana ingin menang.

“Sejak 1974 hingga 2010, Petronas merekodkan keuntungan berjumlah RM700 billion.

Masih ingat Rosmah Mansor?

Masih ingat Rosmah Mansor? Masih ingat Rosmah Mansor?

Rot in system: Teachers suffer, cronies benefit, warns Nie Ching

Rot in system: Teachers suffer, cronies benefit, warns Nie ChingThe plight of temporary teachers is symptomatic of the rot in not just the Education Ministry but the entire BN administration.
Recently, up to 7,000 temporary teachers have been shortchanged by the government, as their ‘contract of service’ have been changed to a ‘contract for service’so as to ‘exempt’ the Ministry from paying EPF contributions, bonuses, maternity benefits and other basic benefits which amount to RM200 per teacher per month.
The Education Ministry is lamenting that it is lacking in the financial resources to make those payments. By stripping RM200 per month from every temporary teacher, a year’s savings would amount to merely RM16.8 million – a mere fraction of the amounts that are lost in wastages and corrupt practices inherent in the system.
Till now, the problem has remain unsolved despite repeated assurances from Deputy Education Minister Datuk Ir. Dr. Wee Ka Siong. Therefore, I would like to put forward a proposal.

Hasan Ali: I will accept if PM appoints me to discuss PAS-Umno unity

KUALA LUMPUR — Embattled PAS leader Datuk Hasan Ali has openly announced his willingness to accept any invitation from the prime minister to discuss uniting his party with Umno, claiming he would do so using Islam as his pillar.
Hasan Ali: I will accept if PM appoints me to discuss PAS-Umno unityIn an interview with Utusan Malaysia published today, the Selangor state executive councillor, whose political future in PAS currently hangs in balance, said he would give a “positive answer” to such an invitation.
“I have no problem (with that). If the prime minister says we appoint you to gain input, that in the name of unity I be allowed to use Islam as my pillar, insyaallah I will give a positive answer,” he told the Umno-owned daily.
Hasan (picture) also said he “hopes” to be invited into his party’s top leadership committee to help resolve the matter, adding that if Islam is regarded as the true unifying factor, such talks would be more successful.

As GE-13 looms, Perak already turning into a political ‘killing field'

As GE-13 looms, Perak already turning into a political ‘killing field'The latest polls show that Perakians will favour Pakatan in the next general election, expected to be called in 2012. It is going to be a mounting task for Barisan Nasional (BN)to remain in power after the muddled and dubious take over from Pakatan in February 2009 after three state legislative members from Pakatan declared themselves as Independent. Apparently, the electorate are still incensed over the events that brought down Pakatan’s government through the court processes.
Zambry Abdul Kadir, the present MB, cannot be solely blamed for the present Umno and BN’s unpopularity in Perak. In fact their popularity countrywide also have dashed to its lowest ebb because of their poor leadership qualities and the buzz pertaining to scandals, corruption, and cronyism among their leaders.
The prediction by political analysts is that the next general election would see Pakatan win with a simple majority in Perak. Zambry is aware of this predicament and the time now is just bad for him, as added to this political decrepitude there are a few ardent Umno aspirants eyeing for the post of Perak MB – pathetically sighting Zambry’s weaknesses as a leader for the past three years. A voter from Ipoh has this to say: “The next general election will see a win for Pakatan. Zambry, or any other Umno aspirant to become MB, will not sway the people’s sentiment here. The people will still vote for Pakatan.”

Submarine resurfaces to reveal UMNO leaders' ties with sex bloggers

Dec 12: Far from putting to rest suspicions revolving the controversial purchase of the two French Scorpene submarines, the trip by Penang chief minister Lim Guan Eng last week has brought to the surface UMNO leaders' close ties with individuals behind several semi-pornographic blogs specialising on stories and pictures of sex scandals.

Following admission by the blogger Papagomo that he was part of the submarine trip, Defence minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was taken to task over his statement guaranteeing no blogger was on board during Lim's trip, arranged by Zahid to dismiss allegations that the submarine could not submerge.

According to a report dated 10 December 2011, a pro UMNO blogger called Papagomo, was at the same place where Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and his two deputies, P. Ramasamy and Mansor Othman were, when they had access to the KD Tun Razak Scorpene submarine.

Papagomo portraited in his blog negatively that Lim Guan Eng had a bout of sea-sickness while inside the submarine.

Besides that, a reporter at the scene at the material time there was another pro-UMNO blogger, named “Big Dog”, (Zakir Mohammed), was also there. According to a photo of Malaysiakini, apparently his presence was effected by being flown to Langkawi Airport in a military helicopter.

Canada Muslims say no problems over face veil ban during oath-taking

Toronto Sun
TORONTO, Dec 13: Some Muslim women will be hesitant to remove their niqab (face-veil) for a citizenship judge but others feel the new law requiring is in the best interest of Canadian security.

The face-veil worn by some Muslim women is not a requirement in Islam

“I think this is something women would consider doing,” said Alia Hogben, executive director of the Canadian Council of Muslim Women. “In this case the niqab is being removed for safety and security reasons.”
Muslim females are now required by law to remove their niqab or other face-coverings in front of a judge while taking an oath of Canadian citizenship.

They can be refused Canadian citizenship if they do not remove the ‘sacred’ garment after two warnings by the judge.

Emulate Penang, declare assets: PAS Youth

Dec 13: Praising the Penang state government’s move to compel all its exco members to declare personal assets, PAS Youth has called on other state governments to emulate the move.

“Asset declaration is the right and important direction so that exco members work with full accountability, responsibility and transparency for the sake of the people instead of themselves,” said the PAS Youth's information chief Riduan Mohd Nor (pic).

Earlier, Penang chief minister Lim Guan Eng announced that the assets of state Exco members would be published online within a month. This followed Selangor's move to declare assets of its Exco. The Kedah and Kelantan state governments helmed by PAS have however yet to follow suit.

Riduan said many leaders whether at state or national level were reluctant to declare their assets.

Cheney says US should destroy downed drone, Obama wants it back

PressTV
WASHINGTON, Dec 13: Former US Vice President Dick Cheney has criticized the US President Barack Obama for failing to destroy the spy drone recently downed in Iran.
Iranian army officials have said they would tweak the drone's technology to serve Iranian needs
Cheney said in an interview with CNN on Monday that Obama should have ordered an airstrike to quickly destroy the downed high-tech unmanned aerial aircraft to prevent the Islamic Republic from subjecting it to examination.

He also said Obama was presented with three options for recovering or destroying the UAV, but he rejected all of them.

"The right response to that would have been to go in immediately after it had gone down and destroy it," Cheney said, adding, "You can do that from the air. You can do that with a quick air strike.”

People in charge under 'benevolent state'

Dec 12: PAS has unveiled its concept of benevolent state by calling for power to be returned to the people and placing government as trustee to public funds.

Launching a book on the concept in Shah Alam yesterday (pic), PAS president Tuan Guru Abdul Hadi Awang stressed that the benevolent state was in line with Islamic teachings.

“We want to change the current concept in which the government treats the people as business tools, and revenue is taken from the people through fixed taxes.

"The government should be the people’s protector, the leaders are the trustees, so we want the people’s right returned,” said Hadi.

NFC: Heads must roll, including Muhyiddin's, says PAS

Dec 13: PAS has warned of many more scandals similar to that of the National Feedlot Corporation if deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin (pic), the man who approved the project during his tenure as the Agriculture minister, continued to dodge blame over his involvement.

In response to former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s statement urging Women, Family and Community Development minister Shahrizat Jalil to 'resign before being chased out', PAS leaders said Muhyiddin too must follow suit should the Wanita UMNO chief resign.

“Yes, Shahrizat’s family had badly managed the project with elements of public fund abuse, but the person who awarded the RM250 million project to inexperienced and unqualified companies should be meted out with stiffer punishment,” said PAS information chief, Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.

Muslimat chief tells Malaysians not to be pound-foolish

Dec 13: The adage 'penny-wise and pound foolish' best describes those who are taken in by the RM500 one-off cash aid by the government through the Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia (BR1M) programme.

According to PAS Muslimat chief Siti Zailah Mohd Yusuf (pic), people should not invite another five years of suffering and pain in exchange for the one-off payment, saying the exercise was another vote-fishing tactic by UMNO.

“Don’t profit for a day, and suffer loses for another five years under UMNO-BN. This one-off phenomenon is happening robustly now. This is the spin off from the culture of corruption engraved deep in UMNO-BN’s administration,” she told Harakahdaily.

Rakyat Kelantan masih perlukan Nik Aziz
