Woman chess player denies knowing Guan Eng’s son

KUALA LUMPUR: A young woman featured by several bloggers as the victim of Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng's teenage son has expressed shock and dismay over these reports.
Malaysiakini reported that Anya Corke, 21, whose photograph was posted on several blog sites and was depicting as a victim of alleged molest, has denied she was a victim.
"I have never been physically assaulted in any way. The only way in which my 'modesty was outraged' has been (through) the publication of my picture in connection with these scurrilous and unfounded rumours," she was quoted saying.
Corke, a third year student at Wellesley College in the United States, is a Woman Grandmaster and a top Hong Kong chess player. She earned her title at the 36th Chess Olympiad held in Spain in 2004 when she represented Hong Kong men's team.
